Mónica Carriço
Mónica Carriço is an architect, researcher and director of movingcities. She holds a master’s degree in Architecture Urban & Territorial Planning from Lisbon’s Technical University and is a member of the Portuguese Architects’ Guild [Ordem dos Arquitectos]. From 2002 until 2006, Mónica practiced architecture in Amsterdam (NL) with One Architecture and SeARCH architects. In September 2006 she moved to Beijing (CN) to collaborate with People’s Architecture, a non-profit cultural and educational organization based in New York. From May-July 2007 she was, along with Ned Rossiter and Bert de Muynck, coordinator of the ‘Transdisciplinary Research on Creative Industries in Beijing - Mobile Research Laboratory’ | orgnets.org. Currently she is developing architecture/urban research and visual communication design (site design and production) within movingcities.org.
