Last week MovingCities resided in Shenzhen 深圳 to work on a project we hope to inform you soon more about. To us, flying means aerophotography, means measuring progress, seeing land reclamation projects turn into airports, having flash-backs to 2009 when the city was working on preparing the grounds for its new airport. Today, the Fuksas Future is almost there.
We’ve been landing and leaving many times in Shenzhen 深圳. If China is about constant change, construction sites and relentless efforts to combat shortages of land, if our China is about the intensity of mobility and showing us how to turn its territory into a travelers’ paradise, then Shenzhen airport is one place where we measure that progress first-hand. In a blink of an eye, we were back to 2009.
