Since 2007, MovingCities has been maintaining this site as a means to communicate – our projects, research, cultural and architectural consultancy, publications, book reviews and interviews on architecture and urbanism – and to contribute to the understanding of the state of the city at the beginning of the 21st century. This with the intention to further the knowledge about and insight in China’s current development, but also to go beyond China – and to investigate the role that architecture and urbanism play in shaping the contemporary city – as we’ve been featuring impressions of and insights in cities and people we’ve been collaborating with since.
A big thanks to all of you who have been contributing, supporting and following us in this exploration.

Being recognized by, and included in the Guardian Cities-website is a great opportunity to dust of our database and submerge ourselves in – and scrolling through – the self-inflicted avalanche [in alphabetical order] of all-things-architecture-and-urban related we created.
One city, one image.
