Sado river estuary in the city of Setúbal | August 13, 2010

A series of past summer snapshots while southwards speeding through Portugal, from Lisbon to the Algarve. Instead of taking the A2 highway, the Auto-estrada do Sul, we scanned the landscape from a parallel national road, the IC1, part of the old main road to the Algarve. After crossing the river estuary in the city of Setúbal, where the Sado River enters the Atlantic Ocean, this secondary road showed us, while chasing the sunset, glimpses of villages, vineyards, churches, mountain ranges and fields.
